Trains and the Astral Plane

Dreams have long been a topic of fascination, and the symbolism within them can reveal hidden truths about our subconscious mind. One recurring theme in dreams is the appearance of loved ones who have passed away, often in the context of trains or train stations. I believe that it symbolizes our connection to the astral plane.

The Astral Plane: A Realm of Connection

In spiritual and esoteric traditions, the astral plane is a dimension that exists parallel to the physical world. It is a realm of energy and consciousness, where the boundaries of space and time are more fluid. The astral plane is believed to be a place where the deceased can exist in a state of higher consciousness, and where the living can access through meditation, dreams, or other forms of altered states.

Trains as a Symbol of Transition

Trains have long been a symbol of transition, movement, and journey. In dreams, they can represent the passage from one stage of life to another, or the transition from the physical world to the spiritual realm. Seeing a loved one on a train or at a train station may indicate that they are guiding you through this transition, or that they are waiting for you on the other side.

Dreams as a Gateway to the Astral Plane

Dreams offer a unique opportunity for the living to connect with the deceased in the astral plane. During sleep, our consciousness is more receptive to the energies of the astral plane, allowing for a more direct connection with loved ones who have passed on. The dream state allows us to bypass the limitations of the physical world and communicate with the deceased in a more fluid and symbolic way.

Research and Supporting Theories

Studies in psychology and neuroscience have shown that the brain's default mode network (DMN) is active during dreaming and mind-wandering. The DMN is responsible for introspection, self-reflection, and memory consolidation, and is also believed to be involved in the processing of emotions and social connections. This suggests that the brain is more open to processing and integrating information from the astral plane during the dream state.

Additionally, research in parapsychology and after-death communication has shown that many people report experiencing visits from deceased loved ones during dreams, often in the context of trains or other forms of transportation. These experiences are often described as feeling more real and vivid than ordinary dreams, and can provide a sense of comfort, closure, and healing.

By understanding the symbolism in our dreams and the nature of the astral plane, we can gain a deeper appreciation for the mysteries of consciousness and the interconnectedness of all things. Stay tuned for our Dream work course offer.
